Personally, I find it hard to believe that 2014 is almost over and that we are just a couple of weeks away from the beginning of 2015. This year has been a whirlwind and, as I write this, I am aware that a number of goals I had at the start of the year have not come to fruition (one of which was to write a regular blog post!). I’m also guessing I’m not the only one.
Regardless, here we go…….
A New Year, a new you!
The end of one calendar year and the start of a new one is seen as the opportunity for a fresh start, a clean sheet – a time when you can resolve to do things differently, make the changes you wish, etc.
There is a sense of excitement and joy, anticipation and hope….
Personally, I always enjoy the transition from one year to the next!
As human beings, we find much enjoyment and satisfaction in rituals, practices and milestones that help to validate and make real growth and change in the physical universe – events such as birthdays, anniversaries, rites of passage and New Year celebrations.
Funnily enough, however, we actually have the opportunity for a fresh start anytime, anywhere, at any given moment.
Meditation and healing are the providers of these opportunities. Each time you meditate, go within, create a dialogue and connection with yourself, it’s like hitting the re-set button, refreshing your energy vibration and turning over a new leaf – it is a ritual.
When you make the decision to receive a healing you are consciously setting your intention for change – whether it be letting go of a burden, releasing pain or forgiving yourself for past mistakes – and change is what leads to healing, another ritual or rite of passage.
So as we venture into this New Year filled with opportunities, possibilities, anticipation and hope, rather than devoting time, energy and effort to creating a list of goals for the entire year, I invite you to recognize your ability to refresh, re-set and create change within yourself at any time. You do not have to wait until the next physical milestone to arrive before making those changes…..
Happy New Year and happy new you!
